Rallye Koeln Ahrweiler 2011

Had a two nice days Friday and Satureday....
With a friend we helped to keep a Mini Marcos alive in a very nice Rallye in the area around
the Nuerburgring.

The only problem was that they did not want to let the Marcos start in he official rallye, because some details of the rollcage. (The owner had aske long before, if it is ok, got a yes, but.....)

So it started as a precar, drove the same stages as the others.
The Marcos did 420 km without any troubles.

It was the car with the most looks at and nearly nobody knew what car it is.
We had to do much explanation work....

Shame about the cage...........would have loved to have seen the rally. Always some good cars there.

We arrived to a very cold nurburg on Sun 13th for a few days, (Nordschleiffe to icy to drive) .

Managed to see the Koln Ahrweiler in 2010 including the reverse night stage in the wet on the 'ring - superb.
