Found a good website for finding paint codes. This seems to work for most of the common BMC colours as well as most others.
No guarantee on accuracy, but worth a look. You can search using both BMC paint code & name.

Re: Paint Code Cross References
Just tried it out on my 65/66 mk1 SDL in Maroon B. Not listed. They do list Maroon but that's a different colour and not used on Morris Minis.
Maroon B is BMC/Morris RD23 and that's recognised by most paint suppliers if they use their different and older databases.

Funnily enough, Maroon B was one of the ones I checked.
Just did a search for RD23

Re: Paint Code Cross References
While we're here, talking of paint colours and paint codes........ I wonder if there is a forumer with a bent for searching the forum and paint could answer a perennial question that's always being asked on the Forum.
Could he list all of the secondary colours used on the Mini. By that, I mean things like the yellow fan. The Mk1 and 2 switch panel....... You know the sort of thing.
Clearly there are some things that are a known standard. Mid bronze green for example and the fact that there is no definitive 'silver' for the Mk2 wheels. And on and on.

Re: Paint Code Cross References
There has been a thread about this which I have tried to keep going & have resurrected a few times, it never gains any traction.
