Help with Royal Mail

Anyone have some suggestions as to how I can contact Royal Mail to escalate a missing package?
Tried calling the number on their webpage...wait times....ridiculous.
Mini Spares sent me a few parts on Aug.24th......tracking shows leaving UK on Aug. 25th....nothing since.
Disappointed with Min Spares as they won't open an investigation with RM and they don't want to resend the items till at least 30 days has passed.

The RM won't start investigating any international claims until 30 days have elapsed, so it's not MS who are being intransigent, it's RM. Depending on the Service they have used, there may be no further tracking until it's received by the local carrier, once most parcels have left the UK RM simply wash their hands of them & claim it is the local companies' problem. It is INCREDIBLY rare for signed for / tracked parcels to go permanently astray, but they can certainly take a LONG time to land.
Getting any sense out of Royal Mail is almost impossible.
I have just checked & they won't begin an investigation until you are 25 days past due date, so in the case of canada, that is 5 - 7 days plus 25 days. 32 days.

I'm surprised Mini Spares can't be of more assistance to you, surely as the sender they have a record of the delivery schedule from the provider - in this case RM.
Edited to add: Mark seems to have answered and corrected my thoughts on the issue.

Just to add to Marks info, once it has left the UK the responsibilty for updates on the tracking is upto the postal service of the country it is going to, so it is now out of RM's hands. Some times on the tracking page there is an inconspicuos link that takes you to the destination country's postal service.

In this case...Canada Post has no record of the package arriving in Canada....neither does RM!

I operate an ecommerce business that ships internationally rather often and in my experience, when an item has left one country but has not been recognized by the receiving country's post office yet, it's almost always because it's sitting somewhere in customs waiting to be processed. Once it makes its way through customs, you'll often find that your tracking updates suddenly come rapidly as the package finally makes its way through the Canada Post system to your door.
I know it can be worrisome when the tracking goes silent, but it's not uncommon with international orders (unfortunately) so try not to worry too much about it and see if the tracking kicks in again soon.

Bit of advice for people sending tracked items via RM .
Always check the postcode written on the post office receipt against the destination postcode.
My issue started when my writing was misread and the parcel , a very expensive manifold , was sent to a completely different city!
parcel force then tried on 3 separate days to deliver it to the address linked to the postcode on the system. This was a small domestic property, obviously not an industrial unit as written in big letters on the packaging.
In the meantime, I have been chasing the parcel through the local parcel force depot. They are not able to communicate ( phone ) other depots to sort issues . Everything has to go through email. The parcel was eventually Accepted by the householder , I suspect in desperation, and then parcelforce had to go back a few days later and collect it and redirect to the correct address , written in big letters on the front of the packaging!
The issue was resolved finally when I threatened to park my big van across the entrance to the depot. Amazingly, they were on the phone to me within 5 minutes.
Seems to me the whole system is fubar and needs a complete rethink putting customer service and communication to the fore…..rant over.

The worst case I ever had was a Parcel that was posted to The Netherlands got sent to Poland. It took a good 3 months to get where it was going, but it made it in the end.

30+ days since my package was sent via the RM...still nothing on the tracking.
MS sent me a note today saying they were replacing the parts and sending them with DHL at their expense.
Very generous of them.
I suspect the original package is AWOL....and will never be seen again
