Hi there,

I'm helping an acquaintance with a 1971 Mini Cooper S 1275cc Wood & Pickett. It was imported from the UK in the 2000s. I don't know if it is known in your register. We are trying to find out more about the car and he is selling it. We are located in Cyprus.

I've already found some websites online which talk about Wood & Pickett and contacted the Cooper register.

Looks an interesting car, how long has it been in Cyprus? Did it belong to a Brit that moved over there? Doesn’t have an export marker on DVLA which will help if it comes back!

I'm not sure, I think it must have been in Cyprus from the late 2000s. It was bought by a Cypriot. But in Cyprus you don't have previous owners listed on the title so we can't give a history. I'm sure there must be a history in the UK?

So it can come back to the UK without needing any paperwork?

It’s not got the usual Margrave style interior conversion, the early type or even the later type and the seats/door cards are not of type I’ve seen before on W&P Minis but the exterior looks right and the shell looks right. That’s not to say when you bought a W&P conversion you had to buy all the options but it’s unusual not to have the interior converted.

Nope, we are the second owners in Cyprus. We don't know who the first owner bought it from

I contacted the Cooper Register, waiting for a response, hopefully they are enjoying a nice holiday somewhere!
