Champion WC548 Plug Cap Boot

Post by sugarhiccup »

Hi all,

Anybody know of any suitable looking rubber boots that fit these caps out there?

I’ve seen a few different styles, here’s just one example…:

I looked at Green Spark Plug Co., but couldn’t seem to spot anything, unless I’m not navigating their site properly. (It’s entirely possible!)

Because they’re installed over the plug cap itself, I’ve measured the cap at that end to be approx ~13mm at the little end flange, so I guess I’m aiming for an internal diameter at the plug cap end of the boot to be around ~12mm and then 7mm at the other for the spark plug wire.

Any suggestions welcome…

Cheers :D

Hello,
I bought a few years ago with some spark plug caps. I'm pretty sure it was from Steadfast Cycles in the US.

Thanks very much for the suggestions, unfortunately Steadfast emailed me back saying they don’t have anything suitable.

I’ve been scouring eBay, but many that look good to the eye seem to have a bigger internal diameter and are made to fit the distributor cap end so wouldn’t be a suitable option.

Appreciate your efforts and support, I’ll keep hunting…

Thomas :)

Hello Thomas,
I looked through some old Invoices and found one from The Green Spark Plug Company.
It seems I've bought some SPC1-GS from them in the past......Nothing wrong with my memory .

Glen

Hi Glen,

Thanks so much for taking the time to look. I couldn’t find these on the site when I looked last, but using the part number to do a manual search worked a treat!

That’s really very much appreciated.
