I’ve not been for many years but do they have material like this in Gaydon? I dread to think how much interesting motoring memorabilia has been lost over the years when these old boys and girls pass away.

Think there a some prototype engines etc on display at Gaydon..but like you I haven't been in years.

The healey museum is basically one man's lifetime obsession with all thinks healey, he started with his own collection, and now get loads of things bequeathed or loaned to display.

Fantastic stuff, check out the 'toy' Healey under the stairs at the back.

There was an Australian guy a few years ago who wrote a great club style magazine for the Healey Sprite, from what i understand when he passed away all the items and literature when here.

Yes that's what Hanns Kerkhoff told me about the Sprite room.
It was a brilliant day we had there in March, we had the place to our self's. He showed us all his old the old healey family cinema films he'd aquirred and a personal tour of all the cars etc

So what’s the nearest thing there’s ever been to a Mini museum? There was the one in Ireland and there’s Maruyama but quite a few of the exhibits that are pretty controversial let’s put it that way. Still love to see it , though my previous statement’s probably earned me a life long ban. Great idea though, there really should be one.

Only I keep selling the exhibits.

At one time I was very much up for this, but nowadays interesting stuff is far too expensive for my pocket.

I love the Healey Museum, such a great place run by real enthusiasts. Hans is a great guy and I've spent many hours listening to him talk about Healey's, DMH, and lord knows what else. My friend who did the body work on my Inno is a good friend of Hans' and a founding member of the Dutch Healey club so I've tagged along with him on a few visits and on other jaunts like when they took an original works car to Le Mans Classic.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!
