MPi front seats

Are factory MPi front seats unique to the Mpi's ?
Or are they a seat shared with earlier Mini's or indeed other models (like Metro's say) ?

Supplementary question:
Are there any aftermarket seats with very similar shape and size that would be a good substitute ?

Just to give some context here, I currently have some very nice John Cooper Garages leather jobs in my car, but I think they are too big and bulky
for a mini. They don't fold forward well enough to allow any practical access to the rear, and if I have them adjusted back far enough for a half decent driving position they rub (and squeak) against the rear bins - I have been putting up with this for 17 years.
I think I would really rather I had the original seats
Here are some photos of the John Cooper's (part no MCC-197) snipped from an early '90s John Cooper brochure

MGF seat are a similar design to MPI seats and can be made to fit a mini quite nicely. Not exactly the same though.

Mpi Seats will also rub the rear bins when the Seats are put backwards or Seat brackets are used...

Sorry to high jack the thread..
I'm currently considering ordering Newton Commercial Suffolk Seats, and as their website advises the Suffolk seats fit any Mini am I going to have the same problem of them rubbing on my rear bins?
Thanks

Wood & Pickett used to cut back the rear bins to allow more rear adjustment of larger front seats.
