A Mini 'Gordon', not a MK1, but it looks like a lot of effort went into these cars

There is only the one.
plan was to sell it as his own luxury car make in Belgium, so mr Gordon contacted Wood & Pickett, and got them to built the car.
It was shown at the Bruxelles Motor Show in 1974, on the Lamborghini stand.
Price was too high, so it ended up as a "one off" in mr Gordon,s garage for nearly 4 decades.
It is unrestored, had a coat of paint 20 years ago, thats it.
And for you anoraks
that is a genuine Richard Miles (or John Tilbury?) engine

I'd also think the concept of chopping the rear seats out of a Mini was a contributing factor to it's failure ! Interesting conversion though and as you say must have cost a bomb in period ! Like the 'Smart' car it would make a great city car now though , you could almost park that sideways.

Yes , and getting across bridges & ferries, for the same fee as a motorcycle
Well you can do that in a STD Mini anyway - just remove the bumpers

Sorry chaps, I hadn't even noticed this post, but fortunately Jens made me aware of the fact that the thing is for sale.
I have done a little write-up now from the information that I have (which is not an awful lot).

that has been on ebay loads of times, the guy often trys to get round the ebay fees etc (auction for one wheel nut etc)
the main problem is it has no v5 - so will never be road legal as it wouldnt pass an sva (not without massive hassle!)
shame, as they are quite a 'unique' thing

It's a shame I'm sure it would have been a winner if it was just offered as a luxury hatchback, without reducing the length.
