I have a problem with the two center dash air vents which are floppy. Can anyone advise if these adjustable vents can be easily removed from the vent body from the front of the dash and if so, how do you do this? Many thanks

I have feeling in my bones that the vent parts are simply pushed into place and have little ears that move outwards, behind the actual dashboard to clip the vent assembly. A common method of fixing.

You CAN get them out but you'll have to either get in BEHIND the actual dash board, press the latch thinggies inwards while pushing the vent outwards. OR, make a little right angled hook thinggy that you and a mate can wiggle between the latch (es) while pulling them inwards. Once one side is free you'll be able to manage the other side. And then on, the other vent because you've made access.

Hope that I'm right - or partially right

Thanks Pete for the info - I'll check it out further, however it sounds like a tricky wee job which is typical when you go to fix something on a Mini, cheers
