Alternator delete kit?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
I’m wondering if anyone makes a nice pulley kit for an a series that has removed their charging system. My racecar had been run for years without a charging system but the pulley setup was less than elegant and quite heavy. Does anyone make a nice lightweight pulley setup for racecars that aren’t running alternators?
Cheers

Wouldnt it be just a short belt from crank to water pump?

try Minispares C-AEA478 BUT DONT USE THE BELT AND PULLEY FOR THE ALTERNATOR

I was thinking I would need some kind of tensioner. Is it ok to run the standard v-belt without a tensioner?

This pulley system looks awesome! I reached out to Minispares to see if they still make the 38 tooth pulley. I assume I would want the larger pulley to slow down the water pump to avoid cavitation at high rpm?

I made my own years ago , What i did is cut a dynamo down , so it was used as a tensioner , used just the water pump fitting and the adjustable bolt , cut the outer casing and i used both end casing of the dynamo and had the armature cut to suit and machined to fit the rear casing bush , in the 60s tensioners were fitted to 4 cylinder diesel engine compressors that did not have batteries fitted , they had a wind up starter motor , that's were i got the idea from , quite easy to do and you could maybe use a alternator, hope this helps

That’s a great solution, Goff!
I looked into the clogged belt drive but it sounds like the kit is not really available any longer.
I think I’m going to go the route of short belt that goes from crank pulley to water pump pulley as Rich suggested. I found a supplier who will custom make v-belts if I can’t find one off the shelf that fits.

Hi, think I may have the toothed belt kit as in your attached picture without the alternator pulley. PM me if you are still looking. Cheers. John
