I'm sure it has been covered and a link to it would be fine. I have several and while some have differences none have a angled vent to valve cover. I had never seen one so I didn't know which way one would angle and how much. I'm also not sure which Cooper / Cooper S and which pollution option used it? Steve (CTR)

Thanks for the picture, that is the one I have not seen. After getting to my shop I realize all I have the tube angles down. I'm thinking they all attach to nothing. It looks like only the early without PCV were attached to valve cover. Steve (CTR)

Well wit the introduction of the 997 the rocker cover was also connected to the pancake filter on the nearest carb. During August 63 when this type of filterbox was introduced they continued connecting the cover, yet this type of filterbox (with the angled breather in the middle) was only in use for a short time and was replaced by the one with it more to the side, which happened around August 64.

I'm guessing that most used rocker covers won't have been treated with a delicate touch. Most of the second hand ones that I've come across usually have the spout bent in a different position than it ought to be.

Even on these two nos covers (early and late type) you can clearly see a difference in angle

Thank you, I have quite a collection of valve covers and they are made all kind of ways. I also have a small collection of air boxes. None have the center mounted tube. I'm working on a 64 998 Cooper and adding PCV system. While the air box has a tube the valve cover does not. Steve (CTR)
