AUF Fuel Pumps and Ethanol

I've got a number of AUF pumps, all of which are old, many of which probably still work. As a bare minimum to avoid ethanol problems, what components need to be changed? I don't think a full rebuild kit is needed if it's just the diaphragm that needs swapping.

Any thoughts?

That's an interesting Q Gary. As one who has been truly caught out with the ethanol effects on hoses.

As a matter of similar interest, all who are interested that is, don't forget as well as hoses, the filler cap washer/seal and the tank sender unit seal. Got a set of those from those nice people at Nippycars yesterday

I have made a list, may not be all inclusive, of the items to be replaced in the fuel system due to E-10 fuel. Some of the items have been brought forth by others in previous postings:
> Fuel tank cap seal
> Fuel tank sending unit seal
> Fuel pump diaphragm
> Fuel pump plastic banjo fittings seals
> Carb flat O-rings on jet tubes
> Carb floats
> All fuel hoses

Any other items that I missed ? ?

I have searched Burlen Fuel / SU Carb company for their E-10 compatible fuel system components. Not all descriptions state E-10 fuel compatible.
Or all items being made E-10 compatible?

What other companies could one look at for the E-10 fuel compatible components ? Other than Minispares or Somerford Mini ?

Thanks.

Jim

I'm still running my 50 year old su pump with no problems yet.....

I was expecting diaphragm problems but nothing yet.
