Alternative Voltage Regulators

For anyone looking for a more reliable alternative to the terrible Indian made "Lucas" RB106 voltage regulators. There are a few alternatives.

1) You can get your original reconditioned - Details to follow.

2) Buy one of these, I have been using these since about 2015 & would never go back to a traditional electro mechanical one. It's a shockingly bad web site, but they offer a great product.

3) An alternative to the complete RB106 unit offered above is a module from these people, It can be transferred into your original regulator box so is indistinguishable from an original once fitted.

Sorry, No. A fellow member has said they have had this done, but I don't have any details I am afraid.

Found this on a Land Rover web site. Handy pdf file showing how to rebuild a Lucas Regulator

https://www.lrsoc.com/forum/forum_files ... _RB106.pdf.

They also have a pdf for a conversion using the BOSCH 30019 regulator

OK, I'll see how this repair holds out and get an electronic one if it's no good :)
