Hillclimb Tyre Choice

I'm not likely to be rallying much this year so I've entered a couple of Hillclimb events (Prescott and Yorkshire Motorsport) in the rally car.
I have a choice of Yokohama A032R and Avon CR6ZZ tyres (that I bought before the price rocketed!)
The relative merits of these tyres have been discussed before on here and for rallying, most people I know would favour the strong grippy Avons if their championship (and budget) allowed them.
However, for hillclimbing, I am wondering if the Yokohamas would be preferred.
My reasoning is mainly related to weight - the Yokohamas are probably half the weight of the Avons.
The weight saving (unsprung weight at that) should make for a quicker time and, the lighter tyre will warm up faster on the short course??
What are your thoughts guys?
Andy
