Any one been to this event before, is it worth going?
Are there many secondhand parts traders or is it all just shiney new sh1te?

There are second hand traders, but not many, and even less with british parts..
The very modt of this show are very expencive cars.
You will not find a place with more cars on one place.
I visit the show every year, it is always a good place to meet people I do not see very often.

My experience is that there is not too much Mini related stuff to find. Often a few very nice cars, but you can normally count the Mini's on one hand. It's mostly porsches and merc's and some extremely rare/exprensive/exclusive cars...

I'm thinking I might pick up some Innocenti Mini related parts/literature and maybe some Italian automobilia?

It looks like the German version of the UK NEC Classic Car show, but maybe on a bigger scale. Flights from my local airport are quite cheap so I may be tempted, to see some different cars... and a few beers

The show is always worth visiting, but I think it is very difficult to find Innocenti parts....

As Mini4ever say it's very good when you are into Mercs or Porsches, not so much for Minis though. Despite its size.
However, I did have a lucky moment last year when I bought a design sketch of the Adams Probe 2001 for a couple of bucks!

I was at Techno Classica a few times in the early 2000's, manning the Coys stand.

It is like the NEC, but as noted above, very much geared to the 'upper end' of the classic market, with very few Minis (or other BMC fare). There are lots of book, arts, sculpture etc stalls as well as toys and memorobilia, but most of the parts are for german and french marques, as are the cars on display. several of the halls are given over to 'factory collections' - BMW, Porsche, VW etc

You might be lucky, but whilst I'd recomend a visit, I wouldn't go there purely on the hunt for mini parts.
