Anyone got any experience of using the Mini spares clips with old chrome door trim?
Have a few missing and just wondered if clips only work with the new trim.
Appreciate any tips before a buy them, not a I job I enjoy….
Cheers

had problems with differing size new cups that would not fit genuine old trims .. solution was to "Bodge " with Tigerseal type glue mixed with the recycled use of some old OE cups which had to have their holes enlarged to fit the new rivets ..then had issue with over long new supplied rivets that foul onto the side of the Mk1 internal window channels .. Bodge worked in the end.

These are much more like the originals and work well with original trims in my experience

Well I don't really need any, unless the elusive project comes along, but I'll buy a couple of sets just in case, based on Simon's observation
I should have drilled the rivets off the Elves and Hornets I robbed the trims off many years ago in the local scrapyard !

Those Bresco pt no BSF081P Pop Rivets ..when the "trim washer is taken off" make a good solution Pop Rivet to re-fix the Austin / Morris / Westlake Rocker Cover Badges because those Pop Rivets are short in length and have a sealed inner end.

Do these ebay trim clips also work well with the original later/taller Mk3 Elf/Hornet chrome door trims?

The ebay ones look excellent, as are the Minimachine ones. Sad to say that the MS ones are pants.
