I will need to buy a new Hood (just the top cover ) for a Mk1 English Moke & ask is there any UK "Moke Hood" maker/supplier that can be relied upon ?
As example on a current C&C advert number C1434027.. i see Mk1 Moke that the selling dealer says has a new Hood and either that Moke Hood is is not made correctly or maybe the supporting frame is bent or something other is wrong .. i am not wanting to be a critic of any other Moke .. i just want to buy a new Hood / Roof of the OE design that fits correctly.
Any good advice welcome from the Forum on Moke Hoods & their fitment ?

You really have to take the Moke to the trimmer, so that the hood can be custom fitted to the Moke. There is too much variation in the bars and where the fasteners have been placed on the body to hope that an off-the-rack roof will fit properly.
My hood was made for my previous Moke. I transferred it, and the bars, to my current Moke but it doesn't fit like it did on the original.

Go for a hood from Ron at Runamoke. I've fitted 10 or more from him inc 2 made of mohair.
He also sells a webbing/tensioning kit.
I've fitted them to new and old hood bows and all have looked good. It's not just a drop on and your done job, you have to be confident in what your doing but there isn't any cutting of the hood involved so your not going to knacker it.
Do you have the pegs in the front screen? If not, That's the trickiest bit especially if the glass is fitted.

As Fred says, the hoods that Ron supplies are EXCELLENT!

But beware of the issue with the pins around the front screen. There is a strong possibility that they won't line up & if they don't then sorting that can be a bit of an issue.
Alternatively, you can do what I do & just don't fit a hood, I had one on my first Moke, but have never bothered with one on my current Moke. If it rains I don't get much wetter than I did when I did have a hood fitted

thanks for the good advice .. my situation i have a new windscreen frame with no holes drilled for the Lift a Dot Front Pin fixing ..so my issue is where do those 11off x lift a Dot securing Pins locate as a dimension onto the windscreen frame ? .. i assume then the Hood "Lift a Dot" spring type plates then get located within the Hood to align with the Pins that have been fitted onto the Windscreen Frame.. sounds like a fun job to get it correct

Around here I get lift-the-dot studs and fasteners from sail makers and yacht chandlers. Be aware that there are single length and double length studs, depending on whether a single layer or two layers of material go over them. On the Australian Mokes two of the windscreen studs are double length where two lengths of seatbelt webbing run from the back tot he front to tighten the roof bars.

The UK Mokes are the same, 2 x Long & all the others short.

Also be aware that there are available as metric or imperial threads on the studs as well, 2BA or M5. I found this out the hard way
