Ancillary parts colour black or green?

I will be finishing up an engine this week.
As part of the never ending list of jobs to do I need to paint up a number of ancillary parts.
I probably should know better but what colour should the following be on a 69 Mk2 Cooper please? black or green?
Distributor base
Starter
Dynamo
Driveshaft output yolks
Thanks a lot
Mark

I say all mid bronze green including distributor base - if you mean the clamp.
My brand new Dec '69 S had a black starter because the original failed at the dealer PDI stage.
If you want the green parts to look original, make sure that the green paint is thinned right down to almost water viscosity and you spray it on microns thick....

There’s a few videos of them being assembled and painted. The Lucas parts like the starter and dynamo were black, and then painted green when on the engine (so no paint on the backside)

Thanks folks. That was my train of thought.
I might break the rules and paint the unseen sides. Hell I might even consider not thinning the paint down.
Don't tell any judges though lol

I've a couple of genuine old starters here - the thin paint on mostly one side is definitely the way to go - he he.
