Kangol seatbelt material

Looking for a supplier of Kangol seatbelt material ? it has the horizontal ribs that stop the clasps from slipping.

A few members have recommended FDTS in relation to seatbelt restoration - not sure if they have the webbing you need but could be worth a call

FDTS restored the belts in my '63 and did a fantastic job. They couldn't match the material exactly but sent me a few samples to choose from.

Those look really good!
Just such an expensive process when you live in Canada.
Wonder if they would just sell me the webbing?
I’ve contacted another place in the UK, and never heard back from them.

Worth a call or email, they are very helpful.
I had my grey Britax belts restored by them for HOY and I am very happy with the results (using my original cleaned up webbing).
Wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend.

Hi Terence,
If those kangol are yours, I would say they look quite nice to me
I would keep that so nice patina and in quite good condition as it seems.

Thanks! They are in okay condition, but Sun faded and have gone purple, and frayed a bit, which really sticks out when the rest of the interior is pretty new.
I would guess that they have lost some strength as well.

I don’t spend $50 to send money in 2022.

I thought about that, but apparently they only accept UK bank transfer, cheque or cash in person in their own country
wouldn’t want to put anybody through the hassle.
Pretty antiquated business practices, but hell, their Website looks like it was created in the 90’s and has never been updated

I understand.. you have a new interior. anyway, I would just fit them to see how they look nearby! I really think they look good. And not easy to find in that condition. My opinion of course
Maybe, ink them again could be an option? Without disassemble.

Yeah, I have installed them. They look okay.
I even bought new foil stickers, but didn’t put them on.
I tried dying them, but it didn’t work.

I have used Sue at FTDS for years and have never had any complaints either about the quality of their work or any aspect of their service. I have paid by cheque in the past but have paid by a transfer the last few times. In the UK we can do this for free from our phones and it takes about 30 secs. I'd be happy to sort this for you if you wanted.
With regards to the web site, yes it does look antiquated, but they don't need to spend time & money on making their site look pretty because their quality & service speaks for itself & they have more work than they know what to do with.
There are very few companies who will receive 100% good reviews on here, FTDS is one of them that do.

How would you be able to collect payment from me?
Do you live close to their business, or would you need to have the webbing sent to you, and then forward to me?
