MK1 Performance Conversions CHARITY RAFFLE 2022

Since we started our Mini track days 8 or so years ago, we have always run them to support a chosen charity.

Over those years we have, with your support raised thousands of pounds for really good causes.

Our 2022 Bylton Track day will be run to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support & to help increase donations I have decided to run a charity raffle which will be drawn the day of Blyton, Sunday 1st May 2022.

Over the next few months I will be adding a number of very tasty morsels for you to bid on, all the money taken will be donated directly to this years cause.

Tickets are offered at a price of £5, anyone can buy as many tickets as they desire. The more tickets you buy, the greater the chance of winning one of our fantastic & in some cases totally unique prizes.

In 2006 I was, along with Barry Hawkins, instrumental in organising a reunion of former Downton employees.

On the day, this huge Poster / Card (more than a meter wide) was signed by all the “Originals” who attended the event.

It is a TRULY UNIQUE memento of this legendary tuning house & is the only item of it’s like in existence.

For the last 15 or so years, it has been one of my most prized possessions, but I have decided to offer it as a prize in our charity raffle. Now is your chance to secure this item for your own collection.

Thanks to everyone who has bought a ticket so far.

Just over 30 tickets sold now, 10 of which were to a single member! So anyone who buys a ticket has a great chance of winning a prize.

Also, a request to all those members who haven't bought one yet. Get your finger out, I'm not doing this for my own good, it's to raise money for a very good cause! If you are too poor to spare £5.00 for Macmillan Cancer Care, I understand, and feel very sorry for you during the festive season, but I suspect that there aren't that many members in that very sad position!

I am also pleased to announce that due to Nippycars Fred's generosity I have been able to add a Dulles dash to the prizes. Unfortunately, I can't update the prize page until my return to work on the 4th.

So, PLEASE! If you haven't purchased a ticket yet, please do, ALL the money goes to Macmillan Cancer Care, a charity that statistically 50% of us will probably need help from at some time in our or our loved one's lives, so PLEASE don't be mean, stick your hand in your pocket & buy a ticket!

How do you buy more than one, or just buy a single ticket multiple times?

The best way to make multiple purchases is to just buy the number you want one after the other. This is a bit of a pain, but it makes it easier for me to transfer the purchases to the spreadsheet accurately & make sure all purchases are acknowledged correctly.

I also wondered about the multiple tickets , I just did single purchases one after the other . G

The link didn’t really work for me as I was directed to PayPal but then had to manually put in Marks PayPal address and put in the amount in £ I wanted to chip in.

It worked though which is the important thing and I may well buy more tickets on a monthly basis.

As has been said, it’s for a fantastic cause that will affect either ourselves or loved ones at some point in our lives.
