cylinder head marked with SFE

I got a 1275 A+ cylinder head today.
It is marked with "SFE"

Does anyone have an idea about this signature ?

I got this head from german ebay for just 15 euro..

I do not believe that the head has been modified, it seems to be an early
MG Metro head, but with double springs and the two extra holes for the
cylinder head studs.
