Just been given an entry in the St Marys Trophy race with Rauno Aaltonen today. I have been a reserve for 3 months and finally got the nod today :D

Sounds like the normal format for Goodwood, you only hear when they want something ;)

Congatulations on your entry Andy, may see you there.

Mike.

Brilliant Andy, that's a scoop getting Rauno aswell !! 8-) Well done.

A few more names.....

It'd be great if they could get Brian Redman into a Mini again after 50 years, he missed out on the 2009 Mini race as they forgot to ask him.

Apparently Swifty was wupping the BMW factory car at the test day !

I'll be there all weekend. Anyone else?

I understand 'Pandora' should be out in the Madgwick trophy, but I have been told that before...... fingers crossed.

Going down on the Saturday to have a look around the Revival Car Show (now pre 73 not pre 66 according to their website) then going to the Revival side on the Sunday, looking forward to the E type race (will they need to present the cars with the heads off like the Minis did  ) and the big Spitfire flypast for the 75th anniversary

.....still absolutely no idea on the entry/invitation criteria. I suppose one would actually know if one was on the reserve list. After months of grovelling, Jarrah Venables just told me that he "looked forward to seeing my car compete at the Revival in the near future".
I didn't have much cause for optimism after one of his advisors (a mate of mine) told me that he'd seen my portfolio and "begging letter" on his desk and added cruelly, "He'd probably wiped his arse with it before lunchtime!"

 I'm afraid you have to go with the flow when it comes to Goodwood, they have so much to choose from it makes it very difficult to get in, if they want something you will have emails and phone calls until they get it, if they don't need it (that year) you will get a polite silence ;)

He does have a habit of handing out a big can of Whoooop Assss to most people to be fair :-)

Looks like he's got Darren Turner as his co-pilot judging by the decals at Donington the weekend before last !
