So, after installing brand new displacer gaiters and almost
literally watch the fall apart I was kinda distraught. I can find
no other place to purchase them :( Soooooo, my sweet wife noticing
me wandering around in a funk asked if she could help. She just happens
to be an expert seamstress and fabricated these gaiters out of the
hyde of the nagabeast (Naugahyde). I couldn't be more tickled :) All's
well again in the world.

Needs must and all that. I had a small 3/4" long rip in one of my original boots. Cleaned it down as I would a cycle inner-tube and glued a suitable patch on, on the basis that the boots don't stretch as such, just deform. Been there like that for 10+ years now, ever since I learned to hate hydrolastic with a vengeance!

This is what the "new" gaiters looked like after
about 6 months. I'm really fortunate that I hadn't
installed the subframes yet.

My originals had a few cracks so I glued them and reinstalled them, following the theory that they had lasted this long so should go again,
