Stick on demisters

I have a smiths stick on rear window demister on my car.
I also have a switched power supply to the rear parcel shelf.
I was wondering if I should use the supply to power the smiths, or use it to power a small heat fan demister?
Or to put it another way, do stick on demisters work?
Thanks all
Ed

My problem always seemed to be keeping them stuck on, so if yours has been there a while I'd go for that.
So I assume this car has been kept to an original standard? Leak and damp carpets and all that eh?

Actually it was a NOS element.
It took a few shenanigans but it stuck!
No idea if it will peel off soon, the glue is pretty old so quite probable.
Original as much as possible but I learnt the importance of drainage holes a long time ago so hopefully not too damp.
So do they work?

To be fair in my experience they demisted well, the trouble was when the sheer amount of condensation led to dripping water and resultant glue attack. Come to think of it with that particular car, the water won over everything in the end...

Nice one.
I’ll wire it in and give it a chance
Cheers

I just lean back and wipe the rear window, it’s a mini

Can’t argue with that

I'd leave the Smiths unit for 'show' and wire in a hidden element screen:

Forget about the crappy old Smiths stick on thing. They are hideous.
Just fit a Nice new Minispares heated rear screen.
They are lovely!

I have the heated front screen and may go with the back one eventually but I really like the period look!
Or as Graeme suggested, have both (although I'll have to find another!).
