Prescott This Weekend

Post by mk1 »

Just a quick heads up. For anyone at Prescott this weekend. My Supercharged 999 is competing there this weekend, once again being piloted by the younger, thinner, faster version of me, Wil Ker.

My guess is as they charge a fiver for it at the venue they won't bung it on the interweb for peeps to print out for free.

Probably follow the usual format of practice runs in the morning with timed runs in the afternoon

This is the results from the last event so will give some idea of the cars that could be entered

You are probably right (about the fiver for it) but that is just mad, as there seems to be no formation about classes and whos running and when…

Thanks for the heads up on the Youtube footage. I didn't see that until now.

Car went pretty well again, although Wil is already moaning that it doesn't rev high enough

Best time of the weekend was 52.56.

With the forced induction torque gains it shouldn't need to have it's nuts reved off it - just may not sound as racy - really super prepared mini had a good look at it when doing the Yorkshire Festival - it is a sleath racer

I thought it was doing well, similar times (cant remember exact time) as Matt Clarke in his 1460

At YMF Wil & Matt were absolutely neck & neck all weekend. I think they finished with less than .2 between them. Last weekend the gap was much bigger, something like 2 secs. This was mainly down to Wil swapping from Avon's to Dunlop Slicks that just didn't work very well. He's out again soon, so we are going to try a few different options & see what's best.

I doubt that I will get anywhere near these times, but at least it gives me something to aim at.

No, I was using a Miglia Wet. But they are still far too hard.
