Badge fittings

Post by gs.davies »

There are the original badges and badge fittings from my car. They’re going back onto the original bootlid but I’ll be damned if I can work out how to get the badge pin and it’s fitting in the hole on the skin. Is there a particular trick to this?

Yes......, you insert the plastic inserts into the holes then grease the pegs on the badge and slide them in. The act of sliding the pegs into the plasic inserts causes the inserts to expand slightly, thus securing the insert and the badge

I'd remove the mouse condom from the badge, drop them in a cup of hot water to soften them a little then push them into the holes. Then fit the badge.
