Long-term ownership variants

The number of Mini variants that come out of the long term hiding continues to amaze me. In the last couple of weeks there were a Heerey GTM and GTM Rossa that have been in storage for decades, a Barclay Mini Bug that hasn't moved a wheel in 45 years with its second owner, an Ogle prototype that's been with one owner for 48 years as well as a modified Van with links to Reliant and Jaguar Motors that's been in single ownership for more than 50 years. I am exited every time again to see that there are still cars in such long-term ownership out there.

Be sure, there are plenty of "horders" out there who keep their hord well out of the public.

A mate built himself a 'mini garage' next to his house - mind you, 'mini' does not refer to the garage's size - where he keeps the majority of his 50+ Minis. The gems so to speek, of which hardly anyone (incl. me) knows about in detail.

My Jiffy was in a barn from 1988 until 2019 when I rescued it, never turned a wheel in all that time!

I put my Jem away in 1992 while I went to college for 2 years. Took it out in 2017 to start a full rebuild. It didn’t have any wheels to turn !
Should be out on the hills next season 🤞.
