Hi All,
I’m new to the forum. I’ve had my 1969 MK2 for about a year and after driving it for a few months I now have garage space And have decided to sort the rust.
The Mini started its life in NZ as an 850 Deluxe in Cumberland Green. When I picked it up in Northern California it was a 1275cc LHD in BRG. The seller told me that after importing in the 1990s it was used as a party car with giant speakers on top at Burning Man.
I’ll post some photos when I figure out how to do it
Check out the images I’ve already posted on Instagram:

Thanks!
Tavi

Hi Tavi!
Welcome to the forum.
Glad your car survived being a party car. I remember a really solid 59er that ended its days filled with concrete & used in sound off's so yours is very lucky!
I hope to see some pics soon.

Thanks Mark! Things have just started to get exciting with the rust repair. I’ll try to check back in more often than every 6 months

Thanks! I feel like I’m gaining momentum on the project.
Once I get all the panels off that I know I’m replacing we’re off to get sand blasted and coated! But, first the boot needs some attention
Happy new year!
