Hey. What happens if you fit a head gasket upside down/back to front? In the is case a BK450
It wasn’t me if you’re interested- just stripped down a mate’s car that overheated and lost all its water

I would say that fitting a gasket like that would cause a car to lose its water and overheat!

This is a race car that tested OK last month (probably no longer than 20 minutes at a time) and qualified on pole. However in the 60 minute race, it packed up (overheated and lost all its water) after 12 laps.
It’s all very well having a jolly good laugh at the engine builder (not me!) but I’m buggered if can actually tell the symmetric difference of the gasket either way up, so was wondering out loud what could go wrong and why?

Usually won't matter one bit as long as the Oil Hole lines up, which 90% of the time they do.
