Could anyone please confirm the original finish on an 850 MK1 air cleaner?

If you mean the metal container it has been discussed a bit on here as they were generally poorly painted in a semi gloss black, which seemed to get thinner as the day wore on according to some accounts. Most of us just use a satin black.
