I love that the first thing he does once the restoration is complete is stick it on another trailer.

Is it just me, or did that have lots of hidden rust ?

May have done the owner a favour (he probably doesnt think so)

The moral of he story is:

"Cars are meant to be driven not be trailor queens"

wraiths where a coach built car on a chassis, so the body wouldnt have had rust (woodworms maybe!), the 'dirty bits' looked about right for a car of that age, its rare for the chassis to rot as they are massive.

it must have been a good example to get away with so little damage when it was dragged down the road - if the body had been poor it would have just twisted into scrap.

id guess that the car on the trailer was worth (pre accident) about 25-30 grand, post accident, even as a breaker it would have been 10 ish.

i dread to think what the rebuild cost.... they where lucky that (bar the rad) most of the damage was body work, which is an easy fix (for a craftsman!) - had it smashed the engine it would have been a problem as parts of them are well rarezzz

its an amazingly common occurance that people loose trailers with large classic cars on them, either through the trailer and tow vehicle having insufficent gwv, or driving like arse's with such a heavy load with a high centre of gravity.

ive seen a photo of someone who tipped a wo bentley over once, that must have cost a few quid......
