Can anyone tell me when FS coded keys superseded FP?

My 1960 Australian CKD Morris 850 assembled early 1961 has FP coded keys all round. Original Lucas date codes on original equipemt and glass codes show November 1960 as a build date for those items.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info.
Our September 1960 built Mini has FP codes all around too (with the raised dimple faces). The tip of the boot lid handle cylinder is broken off and I just got an FP handle for repairs. It does not have the dimple which led me to wonder if that was coincident with the changeover. I think the dimples were present on only 1959 / 60 locks.

I know that my 1962 car had FS keys if that is any help.

Brian. My 960 850 has the dimples as well. The boot lock was also broken as was yours. It is possible to repair the broken tip. If youre careful you can drill veriically where the pin was broken off and into the lower section of the lock and insert/glue a length of stainless rod the dame diameter as the original pin. Might depend on how the pin has broken off if this is achievable. Worked for me.
My 1962 Cooper has FS keys.

I thought about trying such a repair. Happy to hear someone else has done it so I'll give it a try. I want to retain the dimpled cap if possible. The locking pin was lost, probably fell out when the lock broke, but I'll use the one from the FS lock.
thanks
