New chassis plate, boot script in the wrong place...

Still a nice car but would warrant a serious inspection.

are you lot inferring that this car is not genuine?

well, the engine number plate looks like it's been on and off a few times in it's life and the chassis plate looks like it was pop rivetted on yesterday :?

Nice totty

New chassis plate but it is a good Cooper S serial number! So logbook too.

Agreed it looks very nice but does that look like a Mk2 shell? Even so, the Downton engine, dash and all the other bits must make it worth the money?

I wish!!!!!!!

Tim.

Certainly looks Mk1 to me, but unknown history, home deseam job, Mk2 back lights, not got me jumpin and it's on my doorstep. It does look a little like an early Wood and Pickett job, either way it's been hawked around for a while, last for sale a few months ago in North Wales. If you rebuilt it back to a std shell as white/black you'd lose your shirt so I can understand the price.

Looks like a mk1 rear screen, so maybe had a mk2 rear light conversion. Love the Downton plate on the MG Metro rocker cover. Could be a real bargain.

DVLA says it's a Cooper or could that just be their error?

Apparently the seller of this car was contacted today by a certain unpopular welsh bloke, slagging the car off and claiming to be a dvla inspector.
