Fuel pipe grommet

I was looking into getting the right grommet to fit the bracket on the cross member in the engine bay where the fuel pipe goes through. As it's a 63 built car it has a similar plate on the bulkhead on the passengers side as it does on the drivers side. Yet with a larger opening for the grommet to sit in.
The dimensions of the grommet should be 1/2" ext and 1/8" int, yet I can't determine if they were black or red.
I remember Dermott mentioning they were red as they were fuel resistant. Would any body have an original example of which they can post a few pictures or has a lead on where I might be able to get at least one of them?

Having a fuel resistant grommet suggests the BMC designers expected the area to be soaked with fuel which would be counter productive even for an area away from the engine bay.

I have one over in my workshop that Peter Laider sent me. It is the same as the one in the cable bracket on top of the rocker cover as far as I can tell. A browny red colour. I think Dermot probably has a pic?

Think these are what you are referring to Toby. Yes they were red to start with...even the throttle cable bracket used the same.
