M is a standard needle for most stock Coopers, S's, and 1100s

H6 is very slightly rich for all the above

6 is quite a bit richer...

I'm guessing you have slightly raised compression, and, some cam in it too..I'm think #6s will be a better match for that motor.....

Any needles you select, will only be a starting point......It needs to be set up on a rolling road by somebody that knows what they are doing......Same for the Dizzy curve........

I hope you are planning on some good air filters, running without them, can trash a motor pretty quickly.......

I had 6's in modified according to Vizard HS2's (i.e behaved like HS4's) in my ex-Cooper S that made 73 hp at the wheels.

New HS4s come with AAKs (or at least mine did), which I would guess will suit a fairly standard 1275.

AAAs are a fair bit richer and are commonly recommended for a typical tuned 1275 with a bit more cam/compression/etc.

The AAA (swinging/bias) is pretty close to the 6 (fixed), just a touch richer in the middle. This is a useful resource:

As above though, every engine is different and a proper setup on the rollers is the way to be sure.

Hello Guys

We gonna setup the engine with a AAA at least for the engine lapping

AC dodd was talking about the ABD ? which is leaner

I'm not looking for the top performance at the moment but to be safe for the first 500 miles

Hello Guys

I think I will start with the AAV which is the leaner to avoid to wash bores

And maybe evolve to ABD after?
