Now trying to fiind out more about the car as it has had a factory replacement 998 cooper engine fitted with s rockers (thats all i have discovered so far) it was originally a 997.
Reg is WFY and three numbers if anyone knows more/recognises the car - came from New forest area im told
jesus! i dont think there is a single salvageable panel on there. I personally am not in favour of re-shelling cars but there is no hope for that shell. Looks like you've got a bunch of bits and a log book. Perhaps you could find a cooper shell in need of a log book and a bunch of bits and marry the 2 together?
I tried to explain to previous owner that you can buy every panel (admittedly time and money) if you where brave enough!
Im am going to check the engine over at weekend to see if t has any markings or been modded as car had the downton badge on boot (im told - pinch of salt and all that)
then I will decide on next route. It all came with spares as well boot board, benelite grille etc so i need to sort through them.
End of the day I wil more than likely be selling it/spares/whatever as wedding is impending!
Sad state of affairs for the old girl really! (car not the fiancee!)
