The door lock on the Hornetto is seized - any top tips for freeing it up ?
I've got the correct key, and as it's the origianal handle in really good condition I'd like to try and save it. Can't lock the car at the moment...

Trow it in a Glas of WD40 or similar and leave it. Try from time to time to turn the key softly and it will go free after a couple of days...

Had exactly the same problem on my boot lock!
Soaked it for weeks and weeks in duck oil with no success.
On mine, the chrome circle of the barrel had seized solid to the handle.
In the end I heated the chrome circle (very, very carefully!) with my mini blowtorch and cooled it down in the duck oil several times, and kept trying to turn the key each time. It gradually gained movement each time and is now as free as a bird!
Good luck!!

Thanks all - I'll try giving it a good submerged soaking in some penetrant.

If its off the car take it into work and put it in the hot wash tank in the workshop- leave it going for an hour it will give it a really good soaking to wash the crud out, and heat it to 70-80C to help free it up.

Hehe, I could drive it into work and just unscrew it to do that.
Gotta be more secure doing that than leaving it unlocked like last week...
