As I've got lots of spare time on my hands( ahum) I decided it was time to do the Marcos up, as it has been sitting in and around my shop for about 4 years now.
I bought it a a bare shell some 5 years ago, kept it for dustcollection, and just before IMM denmark we decided to take it to the IMM so mounted parts and did a testdrive to Denmark :p
then it sat infront of my shop for a year, I took it to IMM Netherlands, to MITP that year, and left it sitting again afterwords.
Now I have taken some ( late) eveninghours to do the bodywork needed, and now it's ready to go for the painter!

lovely! I've always fancied a nice early Marcos as a stripped out track car.
this wasn't the car Jim Lowrey had for sale for a while? Chassis number 4 or 7, I think. Maybe his was blue?

This one has spent most of it's life in Holland, so I don't think so. We are led to believe it used to belong to one of the Dutch racing teams. However research is still being done to back the story up.

Is it this one :
http://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/162091455.htm?ca=12_s
or this one :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mini-Marcos-MK3-/ ... 43a5988ab3
?
There's a small difference with the price, maybe the taxes between £ and €... !

Well spotted
The price difference is the fact that the french askingprice is a askingprice, and the Ebay price is the minimum price to start with...

You weren't by any chance influenced by this when you built it?
Great looking Marcus by the way.
