Mk1 Swing Out Quarter Windows

Wondering if anyone has attempted to remove & reinstall the metal frame from the glass of swing out side windows.
Any information is welcomed.

You can use a split bicycle inner tube to replace the circumferential seal, or bond it all together with Sikaflex Marine or similar sealant.

Excellent ideas on replacing the seal, thanks. That was my big concern.
