I've slowly been removing the sills as the shell is very nearly ready for blastlng:

BUT, how do I get the sill off without removing/damaging the jacking points?

It's a while since i did one, but I would get a slitting disc and cut around the jacking point leaving about an inch all the way round the actual jacking hole.
Rip off the sill then you should be able to see the hidden part of the jack point and carry on cutting until the excess steel / sill is cut off.
Take care not to cut into the floor where the sill overlaps.

I would cut the sill with an air chisel allong under the top lip then into about 8" sections and peel them back. That will let you see whats in there.
There is a box around the jack hole so don't cut close to the hole. Only cut about 2" in front and about 8" behind. The box is like a continuation of the floor cross member.
I remove the metal around the jack hole by grinding it down untill it breaks off. You need the square tube inside to weld the new sill to.
The picture shoud help.

So will the new sill come with the square thicker metal plate attached to it?

I should have waited until I'd sourced some replacements to use as acguide...

I'm fairly certain that the M Machine ones do have the strengthening plate.
Yep, they have. Just went to check.

Your sill will have the square on it. It all has to be removed to allow the new sill to sit up to the tube.
