18CRX was sold by Paul to a young man named Peter Barker who lived near Bletchley and who was a friend of Paul's. He who also rallied an MGB. By then it had a full works 1275 engine with a SC CR gearbox and a 4.1:1 FDR

He used it for several British National rallies in 1967 and I did the Isle-of-Wight rally and the Morecambe National in 1967. We finished neither as the big-ends failed on the I-o-W and a rear radius arm fractured on the Morecambe national.

I don't know what happened to it after that, but the shell was very tired.

A friend of mine navigated in 18 CRX in 1968, by this time it had a 1293s engine. Autocrossed in 68/69 by Ian Cooper of Supersport/Cortina fame.
