The first works Cooper. (Built in parallel with 11NYB, the private car of Mabbs).
January 62 Monte Carlo Rally. Group 2 spec. Moss/ Wisdom(now Riley). Red/black roof.
February 62 Borrowed by Moss to win the national Yorkshire Rally (with David Stone). Appears unchanged from Monte Carlo.
May 62 Tulip Rally. Moss/Mayman. Appears to be Group 3 spec. Red/white roof (and remained so).
September 62 Baden-Baden Rally. Moss/Mayman. Appears to be Group3.
October 62 Geneva Rally. Moss/Mayman. Appears to be Group3.
January 63 Monte Carlo Rally. Mayman/Domleo. Appears to be Group 3. Monte Cooper entries described as “the same 4 cars, refurbished after the 62 season” (but see 407ARX and 977ARX).
April 63 Tulip Rally. Mayman/Domleo. Appears to be Group 3.
May 63 Trefels Rally Mayman/Domleo. Appears to be Group 3.
Published records indicate or imply that the same car carried this registration throughout its works competition period. By the experience of later years, this would be unlikely for eight International rallies and one not insignificant national. However, although not all the events may have been entirely on smooth tarmac, none of them were of the damaging nature of the Acropolis or the RAC. In this case therefore, a “same car” history is potentially credible.
Listed by Browning as sold to P. Anton.
Reported as scrapped privately in 1970s and reg number transferred to a then current (non Mini) vehicle.
