I'm looking to carry out this conversion so I can run 10" rims on my 1989 car.

I've got the basic parts required - disc, drive flanges and screws, calipers, pads (MS kit), swear box, but I'm wondering which other bits I'm likely to need.

I reckon some new driveshaft nut split pins and brake hoses are a good start, one suggestion was a driveshaft nut in case of any damage in removal, I see there's a split washer under the hub nut but I'm guessing they're not a consumable?

Any other thoughts on parts likely to be required? Bearings and CV joints seem fine.

The split tapered washers can and do wear - especially some of the cheaper ones on the market! If you are getting new nuts, make sure they are not the ones with 34mm size (unless you have a socket to fit them!).

Also if you don't have one, a thick flat washer to seat the bearings before fitting the taper washer - http://minispares.com/product/Classic/A ... OOL21.aspx?

As Jayare mentioned, the split washer do wear and frankly, because they have a split are a bad news if you like to do spirited driving.

KAD have solid ones, but these will only work if your CVs are as new on the nose, just down from the threaded section, there's a plain section before it steps up to where the splines are. If that's worn at all, then really, regardless of which washer you go for, the CV should be replaced, though, in a pinch, the split ones are more likely work here, but the solid types won't.

Thanks for the tips, helpfully the MS washer is out of stock, are the dimensions the same as the taper washer but without the split and taper?

The KAD types are dimensionally the same as the split types, only, no split, so they are also dimensionally stable !

Specs for the plain washer in workshop manual:
o/d 50mm.
I/d 25mm
Thickness 6.5 mm

You can get away with something close to these dimensions if there is anything similar lying around the workshop. 25 mm minimum for the hole of course. Anything less than 6.5mm thick might work but will probably distort when tightened to 150 lb ft.
