I currently have a side entry cap with copper leads and wc548 caps, am I best fitting rn9ycc plugs rather than n9y, just unsure if using Aldon igniter needs some resistance, also is it worth opening gap a little to maybe .030” as using a sports coil

Thanks

I believe the igniters need some resistance......

I run .055 plug gap with Lucas Sport coil and points......NGK BPR6EY-II

.030 is a bit tight for any ignition system, I think the minimum you should go is .045....

Why would the ignitor need HT resistance, it’s a switch to fire the coil. Maybe suppression is needed to stop interference with the igniters electronics.

The Lucas DLB105 ‘Gold’ sports coil is fine as it’s circa 3ohm resistance.

Plug gap wise, .030” sounds fine to me.
