Anyone know the tightening torque for Dunlop d1 wheel nuts, I am wary to over tighten,
I have done all to 60lb ft at moment.
Thanks

Re: Dunlop d1 nut torque
May have to slacken a bit then, I based it on what I torque ford wheel nuts to. It just I have had a couple come loose in use so wanted to make sure I was using correct torque.

Re: Dunlop d1 nut torque
60 is too high.
Some references
The ST data, bottom of page 12 states 43 lbft for Mg alloy.
http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.u ... D-5096.pdf The Rover Mini owners manual states 60 Nm for the 12” alloys. This is 44 lbft. This is the torque I use for my 10x4.5 Minispares ST style minilites. The Mini Forum torque chart shows 37 lbft.

Re: Dunlop d1 nut torque
Thanks,
Not driven it at higher torque, so will adjust to 43 tomorrow, hopefully get some more miles on it make sure everything ok.
Don’t think I have done any damage hopefully.
Never had any issues before but front near side two wheel nuts came loose today so I tightened them by looks of it a bit too high.
