A brace of mk1’s
So I picked these up today. Blue one is a spare shell and in usable condition.
The yellow one is the exciting one. It’s my new project!
Original shell 64 970s bought from a forum member .
Comes with original 970 engine too.. ***970c nice reg too.
not sure if it’s saveable unless you have Andrews skill.
Looking forward to getting my teeth into it..

On the face of it, it doesn't look that bad. Well, not much does I suppose after HOY .. apart from that hedge find '997'
Looks like it could be a good project

That hedge find was 'special', it must have been for that money.
Now you are talking with a 970, well worth the effort
Go for it

Re: A brace of mk1’s
Can’t believe it’s been nearly 5 years but the 970 is pretty much finished. Just need seem trim and whiskers fitting then it’s done.
It’s gone for professional wheel alignment , ride height, geometry today so looking forward to getting out and using it very soon..

Gosh! What a sexy little beast

Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s

Re: A brace of mk1’s
Lovely that, Alistair. Reminds me of another almond S with gold wheels that used to fly round locally some years back (Mr. F)
Give me a shout if you're blasting near anytime, i'd love to see it in the flesh.
