Engine vibration
Hi gents , Recently put new clutch in car (60 mini seven 850) and also new ring gear on flywheel.
Now, when the engines running, theres a vibration running through the car.
The engine mounts are new.
Anyone had this concern and what was the fix ?

Re: Engine vibration
Some of the new motor mounts are a bit on the hard side, and, transmit more vibration through the body.......

Re: Engine vibration
Ditto the above engine mount suggestion. Genuine mounts have rubber that you can feel compress between your fingers whereas most non genuine mounts have rubber that feels solid. Makes a heap of difference.

Re: Engine vibration
If you fitted new engine mounts when you changed the clutch I would definitely have a go at changing them before stripping the clutch again, did you save your old mounts, maybe stick them back on and see if the vibration goes.

Re: Engine vibration
Exhaust does not foul. Used non genuine mounts and with it being old, could not see V marks to align diaphram ?
Ive ordered GENUINE mounts and will compare them when off. Also going to remove clutch assembly and rotate clutch diaphram one turn and see how that feels, if still the same, i'll rotate one final time - thats all positions tried. A fiddley job with engine in situ but have to try before my fillings come out !!
