Hi lift rockers 1.5:1 hitting rocker cover(s)

Does anybody know of a rocker cover that clears the high lift purple rockers from Minispares. I have tried several so far and after thinking my big ends had gone realised the clattering was the rockers catching on the rocker cover. Tried MG Metro, standard Mini, aftermarket alloy ones and all do it to greater or lesser degrees. If I push the covers back to the bulkhead and tighten it almost eliminates it but not quite. If not its back to the dremel I guess....

If they're the same as they used to be, they hit at the back. Any good machine shop should be able to do a fly-cut.
On mine (Minispares alloy) they took out about half the thickness of the case right across the back basically top to bottom.... Its worked fine for the the last 30 years or so...
Cheers, Ian

Thanks for that Ian. Would prefer to get it done properly than using a dremel!

the amount of metal you need to remove (if any) will be dependant of stuff like block/head thickness, lift/base circle of cam, pushrod length, valve length + postition in head etc etc.
my 1071 running a 649 needed barely a tickle from the rocker box (an fp26 type)
one old trick is two rocker gaskets glued togther - the little bit of height can sometimes help

Here's mine, was done to clear the 1,5's and 300 degree cam. Tried grinding clearance and the 2 gaskets trick, but eventually went through the cover, before getting the enough clearance,
