Rear bulkhead/firewall.

Does anyone know of a supplier for a repair panel for the lower section of the rear bulkhead. Any Mk will do as they're nearly all the same for the portion I need.

Just need the lower 6 inches, mainly for the RH side but full width would be good. The whole bulkhead is available but at nearly £200 it's very expensive and I don't need to replace the whole panel. I've checked Heritage and M-Machine.

I'm trying to fabricate the RH side but it's an awkward shape.

I built a plywood former, from a cardboard template as i had time on my hands during lockdown. Has to do a relief cut in it as you can see, but the shape was made easily and will need some tweaking before it gets welded into the bulkhead.

Took a quick video while i was doing it.

there are obviously other and batter ways to do this, but will work well for me

Thanks Harrymini. Lovely job. One wonders why m-machine or magnum don't make these as I can't image that it's just the two of us that are in need.

Phoned m-machine this morning and mentioned that this repair panel was not available from any supplier/manufacturer.
Doreen said that they have the bulkhead made for them in mk1 form but that any section made as a repair panel might have problems lining up the flutes that are pressed in. Obviously fitted a total new panel wouldn't have that problem, so that's that.
Just ordered a 1000mm x500mm 1mm sheet from B&Q, so going to have bash (pun intended) at fabricating one.
If I totally cock it up I may have to blow nearly £200 on a full panel, which I don't want to do as 90% of the one in the car is very good condition.

Maybe Harrymini could rent out the former he made
Could start a trend ;)

I have already messaged him and he no longer has the template.
