How do I create a link to a previous topic?

I have yet to work this out. Help please.

Start your new thread as normal.
Open the topic you want to link to in a new window.
Copy the address by right clicking on the address bar at the top of the page & selecting copy.
Go back to your new messgae & right click again, this time selecting paste.

And theres your link.
